SAFETY FIRST

For operators

When handling wirehoods please pay attention to small sharp edges that may result from the production. Improper uses or handling of the product may cause small cuts or surface abrasions in the skin. There are no further risks involved.

For end consumers

When removing corks from bottles, we suggest you following these steps as described below:

  • Remove capsules and/or aluminium foils from around the bottle
  • Keep the neck of the bottle steady using one hand; gently press with your thumb on the cork to avoid sudden expulsions. While doing this, use your other hand to slightly loosen the wirehood without removing it.
  • Now loosen the wirehood completely. In case of sudden breaking of the wirehood during this operation, use a sparkling wine tong to remove it.
This can also be done manually paying attention to possible sharp edges on the wirehood disk which could cause small cuts or surface abrasions in the skin.
In order to avoid a sudden expulsion of the cork, it is advised to let it come out gently from the neck of the bottle so that the pressure inside the bottle can decrease gradually. Please do not point the bottle toward your face, toward others or surrounding objects.
  • When opening the bottle keep it slightly oblique so as to avoid wine spills.
Keeping the bottle upright, having it at an excessive temperature or even shaking it violently may result in wine spills when opening the bottle.
