We use certified testing methods in every production stage. ICAS is, in fact, an ISO 9001-certified company. Although the wire cage is considered to be secondary product packaging, ICAS is also certified to a food safety management system (ISO 22000) in order to protect the health of all customers/end-users.
QUALITY AND RELIABILITY
QUALITY, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Quality means producing by complying with the current regulations that govern environmental protection, such as ISO 14001, the international standard for an effective environmental management system.
Our internationally patented machinery is not just state-of-the-art, it is state-of-the-industry. Entirely designed and built by us, our current wire cage machines are the fruit of unparalleled technology and allow for an increasingly fast and safe production process.
FOR THE USER (CUSTOMER):
Upon receipt of the product, during the handling of wirehoods, pay special attention to small protuberances along the edge of the cap or along the wire (eyelets and twisting). Incorrect product usage may cause small cuts or superficial abrasion. No further risk is posed.
FOR THE END-USER:
When opening the bottles, we recommend to proceed as follows:
- Remove the foil wrap around the bottle
- Gently untwist the wirehood without removing it, by gripping the body of the bottle and placing your thumb on top of the cork to prevent it from popping unexpectedly. At this point, remove the wirehood. Should the wirehood break accidentally, use a pair of sparkling wine pincers to remove the cage. This operation can be performed manually by being very careful not to cut or injure your hands. In order to prevent the cork from popping violently out of the bottle, let it slide smoothly out allowing the pressure inside the bottle to unleash gently. Aim the bottle away from yourself, other people and breakable items.
- When opening the bottle, hold it in an oblique manner, to prevent the wine from spilling out. Keeping the bottle in a vertical position, an excessively high serving temperature or shaking the bottle violently would cause the wine to spill out.
Metals have a long life span: in order to protect the environment, we recommend to properly dispose of wirehoods in the containers for glass and tin waste, along with the cork.
The company’s highly competent staff is made up of 105 people: engineers, administrative, sales, production and quality control managers, laboratory assistants and managers. ICAS is very popular with its clientele owing to the expertise and skills of its highly-qualified staff, as the result of decade-long experience and a deep knowledge of the design and production technology of its product line.
